Government Agencies Scholarships

International students are eligible to apply from the following scholarships or financial support. Scholarships may come from different sources, such as NTHU, government institutions, and private organizations. Please follow the steps and processes required for a particular scholarship program.

●  NTD 33,000 per month 


Ministry of Education
● Doctoral students: NTD 20,000 per month 
● Master's students: NTD 20,000 per month  
● Bachelor students: NTD 15,000 per month
● MOE will pay up to NTD40,000 each semester for each 
   recipient's approved tuition, the remaining amount must be paid by the student.

Academia Sinica

Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) Scholarship

● Master students: NTD 18,000 per month
● Tuition and Credit fee waived
*This Scholarship only bonds with ICDF programs.

The two programs collaborate with ICDF: 1.International Master Program in Information Systems and Applications  (IMPISA Program-ICDF) 2.International MBA in Technology Management (IMBA in TM-ICDF)

Elite Scholarship for University Lectures from South and South East Asia
● Eligibility: Doctor/Master degree-seeking applicants who are currently university lecturers or professors in Indosenia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan.
● Duration of Scholarship: 3 years for Ph.D.student and 2 years for Master student (reviewed annually)

*To receive the three-year continuous scholarship, the student's average score must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.4 in his/her previous academic year.

● Scholarship amount: NTD 25,000 per month / NTD 300,000 per year*
*The scholarship doesn't include tuition waiver. Students will need to pay tuition fee and credit fee.
● Applicaiton documents: CV and Employee certificate.
● Application period: Aug.1st, 2024 ~ Sep.28th, 2024

Elite Scholarship for University Lectures from Africa
● Eligibility: Doctor/Master degree-seeking applicants who are currently university lecturers in the countries of Africa
● Duration of Scholarship: 3 years for Ph.D.student and 2 years for Master student (reviewed annually)
