Reminder for Graduate Students Wishing to Apply for NSTC and NTHU Subsidies for Attending International Academic Conferences
- For applications, the NSTC requires that the university submit the documents no later than the first day of the month preceding the month of the conference. Please note that the university's internal deadline is 5:00 PM on the last working day before the NSTC deadline. If a professor's recommendation letter needs to be uploaded, applicants must remind their professor to submit it before the internal deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted! If you miss the internal deadline, you are still welcome to apply for the NTHU subsidy. 【NSTC and NTHU subsidies can be applied for simultaneously.】
(Example: For a conference in December, the NSTC requires the university to submit the application online by Friday, November 1. Students must complete and submit their application on the NSTC "Academic and Research Service Website" no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 31.)

Funding Source: National Tsing Hua University (NTHU)
- When applying, please refer to the application guidelines for NTHU subsidies for graduate students attending international conferences (website link). Before applying for this subsidy, you must first apply for the subsidy from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). If the NSTC subsidy is not granted due to personal reasons (e.g., late submission), the maximum subsidy amount from NTHU may be reduced. All application documents must be submitted to the Office of Global Affairs before departure; late submissions will not be accepted.
- Application Procedure:
- Download and complete the application form, then print a hard copy (see application guidelines for details).
- Fill out the online form via the google form (please ensure all information is accurate and complete).
- Send the supporting documents as a combined PDF file (file size must not exceed 10MB) to the responsible officer's email.
Note: Incomplete submissions will not be considered for the subsidy.
- If the application is not approved, the original paper application form will be returned to the department without further notification to the applicant.
- If the application is approved, an email will be sent to the applicant (according to the email provided in the online form), and a copy will be sent to the department for record-keeping. The copy must be attached when processing reimbursement.
