Education Goals

The Department of Mathematics offers undergraduate programs in pure and applied mathematics to provide the students with a fundamental and extensive mathematical training. We focus not only on basic mathematics training and development of logical reasoning ability, but also pay attention to practical applications. In addition to compulsory courses, mathematics students can also choose relevant courses according to their interests, such as information technology, finance, statistics, education etc. The Department also provides suitable courses to mathematics students who wish to pursue advanced degree in mathematics, so that they are well prepared for mathematics research. The main goal of the graduate program is to cultivate researchers and teachers in pure and applied mathematics.
